Parish Activities

Apr 25, 2019

Dear Sisters & Brothers in Christ,

I pray you and your family had a happy and blessed Easter. I want to once again thank everyone who had a part to play in our Holy Week and Easter celebrations, not to mention our Fish Fries. Today we welcome Frs. John Fahey-Guerra and John Schmidt. They are both part of our province leadership of The Redemptorists of The Denver Province. They are spending a week with us on what we call “Visitation.” This is done every few years. It gives our leadership a chance to see how each community is doing, as well as, each person as an individual. Amongst other things, they discuss each person’s ministry. What they are presently doing, and also possible future plans.

They also try to make time to talk with some of the people with whom we minister, especially in parishes and retreat centers. They met with our parish staff, Parish Council, Finance & Administration Commission, and some of our youth and young adults earlier this week. They want to get an idea of how the parish is doing and how we Redemptorists are fulfilling our province priorities. So I invite all of you to come over to the gym for some fellowship and an opportunity to speak with Frs. John & John.

In the coming weeks we will also be installing our new Parish Council members. I want to thank them, and all the others who were willing to put their name on the ballot for this important ministry. I also want to thank those who have served, and those continuing to serve on our Parish Council. I know it is a big commitment and a very important ministry.

Those finishing their term:

Beth Boykin, Dewayne Johnson, Kendra Martin, Mark Kamp, Richard Banks, &

Vince Nutt

Those continuing:

Kurt Englander, Linda Brown Reed, Ben Phillips, Wanda Caldwell, Joy Camp, &

Mike Coffman

Those newly elected and appointed:

Linda Kamp, Kevin Triggs, Angela Thames, Rhonda Graham, Dr. Travis Threats, &

Eric Thurman

Once again, you have my personal thanks, as well as, that of the staff and parish. May God continue to bless you and may the Spirit anoint and guide you, as you seek to guide our parish.

In the Redeemer,

Fr. Rick
