We are all
called to live the Word of God. At The
Rock, some of us are called to do this by preaching, some
of us are called to do this by teaching, yet all of us are called
to do this through our words, actions, and behaviors. Our
church does not start on Sunday – instead, our church starts
on Monday when we take the Word of God out into our homes, into
our jobs, into our neighborhoods, into our community, into the
world.
The liturgy at The Rock is celebrated in the African American
tradition – to us, a celebration is a happy and joyful event.
For this reason, we give all praise, honor and glory to
God joyfully in everything that we
do in our services. You will feel a sense of joy
in all liturgies at The Rock –
and when you leave, hopefully you too, will be prepared to Joyfully,
preach, teach and live the Word of God.
"Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matthew
5:16
