Rev. Stephen J. Benden, C.Ss.R., Pastor
We are a Redemptorist Parish, practicing Catholicism in the African American tradition. Our historic church features fabulous Old World architecture, beautiful stained glass, incredible stone and marble work, and one of four surviving pipe organs of its kind in the country.
As you revisit the Catholic faith, know that our doors, arms and hearts are open to the return of our brothers and sisters. When we discover that there is a God who loves us unconditionally, we experience peace and joy as we surrender to God's embrace. No matter the reason we stopped practicing our Catholic faith, he is running out to meet us in the sacrament of Penance.
"While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 8:5). When we make a decision to return home to our family of faith, the Holy Spirit helps us to find deeper meaning and purpose in our lives.
We invite you to become a member of the St Alphonsus Liguori 'Rock' Church Faith Community. Join Pastor Steve Benden, C.Ss.R., and a diverse membership for a spirit-filled liturgy.
Call the Parish Office to set up an appointment to register (314-533-0304) or email parish130archstl.org.
Enjoy the rest of this site, and have a blessed filled day for this is truly the day the Lord has made.
